WELL certification
Origin and purpose of the certification
WELL is the first building evaluation tool focused on the well-being and health of the building’s occupants.
It is a certification that prioritizes the comfort of users and analyzes the relationship between health and the built environment in in which we live and work.
Most WELL certifications are for office spaces, but the WELL Building Standard is also applicable to residential projects, educational centers, commercial spaces, and restaurants.
In addition, the certification is applicable to buildings and their shells as well as to independent spaces within them.
There are two formulas: WELL Core and WELL Certification. The first is indicated for real estate developers who will not be involved in the usage phase. The second, WELL Certification, is a complete certification including all aspects, from the construction phase to the usage phase. WELL Certification groups the criteria into 7 categories.
